A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, Owensby whetted his
investigative writing skills as a op ed writer for the
Stars and Stripes, the military newspaper for overseas
military establishments in the late 1950’s and as a
contributing columnist to the Virginian-Pilot/Ledger
Star in Norfolk, Virginia. Jackson’s inquisitive nature
leads him to seek stories of true-life situations that
confront the less fortunate American citizen. Jackson
comments that “I’m not a knight in shining armor on a
white charger, but I just can’t stand by while the
downtrodden suffer unfairly.”
His current novel, “Deliberate Indifference: A Gay
Man’s Maltreatment by the U.S. Department of Justice”,
will soon be followed by another revealing novel,
“Daddy, Don’t! Mommy, Why?”, the rape and molestation of
two young female infants, Deena age 4 and Starla age 5,
who become the sexual victims of a sadistic stepfather
and his sons.
Another novel in the works is “Tricks of an IRS Cheat
and Other Scandals You Should Know About Uncle Sam and
Your Money!”, a shocking expose about waste and fraud
within the U.S. Government.
Jackson lives with his wife of some forty-eight years
in his native state of North Carolina. |
