Hazel, separated from her blue-blooded mother at birth by the vengeful act of her deranged father, grew into her teens as a farm milkmaid. When she comes of age, she finds herself the prey of the vicious crew of her father's ship as well as dock workers and street people.
Hazel must flee from the clutches of her sadistic father before he is able to carry out his vile plans for revenge. Finally she finds herself free from the captivity imposed by her brutal parent, who pulls out all stops to capture her anew.
Charlie, a poor street boy from Hazel's hometown, follows her as she runs. Though he believes he is in love with Hazel, he becomes entangled in a scandalous situation with her sister.
Although each sister is unaware of the other, their paths converge as each is trying to escape from their pursuers. Aided by an unsuspected trecherous ally, the sisters find themselves only deeper in trouble and there seems to be no way out except to surrender, and the cost of that is far too great!

About The Author
I come from New Zealand. You maybe envisioning a herd girl surrounded by sheep and cows at this moment, however let me reassure you I have lived in a nice comfortable urban area over looking the calm seas of the Hibiscus Coast all my life. I grew up running nimbly over slippery seaside rocks, sticking my finger in sea urchins and prizing the starfish I found washed up on the beach. My teenage years were rather tragic for all the wrong reasons. A terribly drunk woman hit our car, speeding, resulting in her death and my brain damage. For most of the next six years I was in hospital for facial reconstruction and sick at home. Over seven, or eight years my brain repaired much to my relief (doctors predicted I had a 50% chance of recovering). I pushed myself to study right through all my education. I am fully recovered, but occasionally get a bit muddled if I am tired (don't we all). I educated right through high school and college till I had completed a Bachelor in Business Studies, Certificate in Teaching and a Bachelor in Teaching for preschool and primary school children at Massey University. Studying through University years was intense and left me with a stunned demeanour for a few years, so I avoided any study and most forms of writing in the hopes of recovering my senses. I thoroughly enjoyed teaching children, who I believe are the salt of the world and an adults best source of inspiration. My desire to write began years ago with a secret wish to be a professional writer. However it wasn't until 2008 that I completed my first book and my passion for writing was ignited. My most favourite part of writing is when I first write out a section of the story and it is like reading a book as the story is revealed. Currently I have two children and a loving husband at home. Soon we will be looking to extend the brood, appeasing our love of children.
